and this months theme is
“THE H SUITES”
WELCOME TO THIS MONTHS THEME OF SEPTEMBER ” THE H SUITES”
The H Suites is a dedicated series to the models I have photographed in various city Hotel rooms. It is the Hotel room itself where I am able to find moments of rich tension, vulnerability and the eternal quiet drama that exists in us all. I find the space of hotel rooms to evoke themes of transience, introspection, and emotional isolation. The room-a liminal space, neither home nor foreign-a place where the model is untethered from the outside world. He is simply suspended. in a moment of time.
There’s a lot to relate to inside the hotel room. Dualities of public vs private. Freedom vs confinement. Desire vs despair.
The Hotel Room itself, becomes a mirror. A reflection of him. Stripped down physically and psychologically. Removed from his daily context; free from the personals they perform in their daily lives. Vulnerable, a need they won’t name? Regret? Hope?
